New inspiration and technical solutions

O!talks - expert interviews

The “latest industry buzz” will be addressed in a series of moderated expert interviews at the Optima fair stand. Topics include the latest trends in pharmaceutical freeze drying, such as: What development goals are the specialists at Klee currently pursuing? Where is isolator technology headed – what will the next five years look like? Another focus of the talks is on filling and closing technology: How can filling and closing processes be optimized for small batches, a broad range of formats and isolator technology? The interviews will also address how flow visualization can be effectively used in customer projects. What opportunities and potential does this technology offer? The expert interviews will take place in a central location of Optima’s exhibition stand.

Focus on process safety and efficiency

Freeze drying makes it possible to preserve highly sensitive pharmaceutical and biotechnological medicines in the long term, making lyophilization technology very important for pharmaceutical production.

Trends in Isolator Technology

Isolator technology is indispensable in aseptic filling. More and more pharmaceutical manufacturers are deciding to use an isolator instead of a high-classification cleanroom. Where are trends headed?

What differences are there between isolators? What are the special characteristics of an isolator? Find out the answers to these questions and more in the expert interview that follows.

Isolator Technology

New challenges in sterile filling

The demands on production lines in the pharmaceuticals industry have changed. Patents on major sales and profit drivers have expired. Traditional pharmaceuticals with large volumes and relatively low market prices are becoming less common.

Instead, there are increasing numbers of special products of high value and considerably smaller volumes. Many existing systems are now too large, too specialized and too expensive to be able to produce cost-effectively.

Changing Production Strategies

New opportunities for the design process

Flow visualization offers tremendous added value for the pharmaceutical industry. Optima Pharma has expanded its expertise in this area and is pleased to offer related engineering services to its customers.

Initial projects, both internal and with customers, confirm the high expectations of this pioneering technology.

The booth

On the 800 square meter booth with two floors five exhibits will be shown. At this year’s Achema, Optima Pharma will exhibit a system that generates only a single vial of product loss in the entire batch process, including startup, weighing, production and end-of-batch. A total of 50 people before, during and after the fair will be on duty.
